Public Health Practice Division

Public health practice is the effort to improve and protect the health of populations through various strategies. It is the science and practice of addressing health issues at community level through promotion of healthy behaviors, prevention and control of diseases. Further, it advocates for policies to benefit the public.

The Public Health Practice division recognizes epidemiology as the foundation of public health. It is dedicated to understand the distribution, causes, and control of diseases within populations. This Division will use various tools of public health to make the life of the people healthy at various levels individual, village and society level.
