National Health programmes consist of initiatives addressing various health issues, ranging from communicable diseases to non-communicable diseases, maternal and child health.

The National Health Mission (NHM) integrates the National Rural Health Mission (NRHM) and National Urban Health Mission (NUHM), and the Ayushman Bharat program (provides financial protection for secondary and tertiary care).

Further, there are specialized programs like the Revised National Tuberculosis Control Programme (RNTCP), National Vector Borne Disease Control Programme (NVBDCP) and National Leprosy Eradication Programme (NLEP) etc.
