Environmental Health Division

National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), working as a nodal agency for environmental and occupational health, focusing on the impact of climate change on human health. It works to reduce morbidity, mortality, injuries, and health vulnerability due to climate variability and extreme weather. Its primary goal includes creating awareness, strengthening the health workforce, improving preparedness, and fostering partnerships.

There has been accelerating change in environment with great pace leading to recurrence of various communicable diseases and non-communicable diseases. This is creating challenges for human health. This division will impart knowledge in this regard to both professionals and General public.
