The Institute of Applied Epidemiology and Public Health (IAE&PH) has been established to improve the practice of Applied Epidemiology and Public among the concerned professionals in India by bridging the gap between experienced and skilled public health practitioners and other professionals by sharing knowledge, skills, and cooperation.
There is also a need to take this knowledge and basic skills in this field to the general public to support them in improving community health. This institute will serve the community by creating awareness and also supporting them with various preventive and promote health services.
IAE&PH supports government policies and will make efforts to achieve the objectives and goals of various National Health programs and other activities.
My affection for epidemiology is due to its scientific principles which make this discipline the core of public health. Learning in epidemiology needs to be competency based and skills and all training should be geographical contexts and societal based.
